Marc, sell your ladder declutter if your not going to use it.LOL, come on we all know we just are’nt supposed to do like when we were younger. I’m sure your wife and children are much happier to see you safe. new fly friends,Bet&Mike
Marc, great video . I just got done doing a roof job on my sun porch. It only leaked when it rained. I had to remove cedar shakes which were home to at least 6 species of bees and wasps, steped on 4 nails, cut leg on metal and finished the job with help from my sons. I called in my chips . Anyway, the guy wanted to sell me a type that lasts 100 yrs. What do I need a roof that would last that long? I settled for the 50 yr. roof material. So at 112 yrs. old I won’t be doing it over. Next is painting, with ladder and bees.
I have been climbing on the roof for years. I only fell once – and that was in my 40s. A few months ago I was on the roof one afternoon while the wife was at work. The ladder fell – which is only slightly better than actually falling yourself. So for an afternoon I felt like Tom Hanks in “Castaway” or whatever that movie was called where he was stranded on the tropical island.
Marc,
I fell off the CURB the other day and broke my ankle. I think it is wise for people out age to stay away from heights.
BTW, I lay in the gutter of my suburban street for 10 minutes, and people drove by and waved at me! What the heck did they think I was doing down there? What really got me was, one of them was a cop car!

At least he had coconuts.
There is wisdom in your advice.
