You’re absolutely right, Marc. If we do land a public option, we’ll be less of a strain on the system if we’re just healthier. It seems to me we’ll be happier, too.
Health Care should stay where it is now – being a Sick Care. It would not change whatever we do.
As an example; I have ordered a rose bush from one of the garden by-mail companies. This rose bush is sick, each year it gets to the point of blooming, but then roses just dry out and fall off. I tried to fix it, but it is sick at the root. I feel sorry for it and do not discard it. But there is only one remedy, uproot it and plant a healthy one. Even the soil has to be changed.
It ain’t going to happen to the Health Care system.
What we need is Care for Health, an alternative, funded by our own attitude to our own health. Cannot agree any stronger with you Marc on this one. Thanks for FUN.
Good stuff Marc
but I wish you had something on the site that would let me post this on FB or send it to another site.
Would like to post the skeletons one on a media chat room that go to .
Perfect,Marc. CBS Sunday Morning News’ entire newscast today was devoted to the topic of “Weighted in America” – the problem with overweight and obesity and how the insurance companies are mired in this “huge” problem with unhealthy people making unhealthy choices, overeating, smoking, risk-taking that jeopardizes their health, etc.
You say it like it is – unfortunately, we seem to have divested ourselves of responsibilities and decided that we have loads more “rights”. I wish we could get this out to all schools and universities / colleges. Something we all need to hear!
COMPLETELY RIGHT! Unfortunantly we have created a nation of “take care of me” types who refuse to take responsibility for themselves. Keep it up Marc!!!!
