Yaaho. It is a Halloween party going on for a long time OUT there. The guests of that PARTY do not need masks, they already look a part. Some of them are actually scary. And they are playing it so real. I guess, we end up having to play their sponsors. And sponsors usually look good in Armani and Chanel (even widow) suits. So, here we go, Marc.

I'm not a fan of Halloween either, however my DS is six and just loves it and wants to "spook up the house". *sigh* Isn't it enough that I spend good money on junk food to give out to all the kids (and not so young kids?)

Hi Marc -

My husband also shares your distaste for Halloween. For the 21 years that I've known him and on the rare occasions when I've "bullied" (his word not mine) him into dressing up, his costume of choice has been: Robert Chambers: Preppy Murderer. Now this was pretty funny when we were young, preppy and lived in NYC. However, now that we're in our 40's there are a couple of problems: 1) many folks don't remember or are too young to know who Robert Chambers is, 2) those who do remember no longer think the costume is funny as we have teenage children of our own, and 3) good looking as my DH is, he no longer resembles the young, creepy Chambers. Oh yeah - and he's worn this costume for so long that now CHAMBERS IS OUT OF JAIL and into even more trouble.

So, anyway, I'll be checking back in to see what you finally decided to be. Next year I'm drawing the line and I'll have my husband dress up like you do this year. So, my friend, the pressure is on, not only for you and your wife, but for us as well. Love your stuff - keep it coming!

I agree with world leaders wearing costumes... the point of halloween is to be someone your not to loosen up and not be so serious. In the crap we live in today people yearn for carefree time I think that's why halloween is getting bigger. As for you, I think mabey your afraid to get out of your comfort zone hiding behind a mask and a high priced suit. Your wife wants to have fun and can see the joy of pretend, suck up your pride and let her have fun it's one night a year surely thats not too much to ask!
