Marc, I am reading your book about Lenny Rose, very funny. Good job and I love Boomer Alley even though I am to old to be a boomer.

a-men, soul bro-tha!!! i’m with you! enough of dwelling on the negative; we can get outselves into a tizzy in 5 minutes — i also love to put upbeat music on and get thru the day trying to make somebody else’s life a little happier and put a smile on their face with a fun email or whatever. or maybe forward a boomer alley video? :) thanks..a.

Absolutely brilliant Mark. You packed a lot into this one, and it works beautifully.

    As for songs, how about:

“Alone again (naturally)” by Gilbert O’Sullivan.

Wait a sec, you asked for happy songs, not suicide inducers.

Okay, I go for CSN “Teach your Children”

    Happy Holidays amigo.

    Brian

Happy music on your IPOD is SOOOO important. I listen to mine while walking from station to office and I just love brass band music – it makes me feel like I’m marching and I find myself going “oompahpah” etc etc along with the music. Priceless! Try the soundtrack to the movie “Brassed Off”.

Now for some real boomer-type happy music (with YouTube links for those who are too young to remember):

Mony Mony – Tommy James and The Shondells http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKyEyxwqS2c
If you’re going to San Francisco – Scott McKenzie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_HhwinPw-M
Hey Mr Tambourine Man – The Byrds http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMYx1xz6lSQ
Dancing in the Street – Martha & the Vandellas http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdvITn5cAVc

Keep up the great work Marc!

    Chris
